We are now seeking a dedicated Regional Waste Program Manager to join our small and dynamic team.
In this role, your primary responsibilities encompass the strategic management of waste-related projects in the Central Queensland Region. This involves the development and execution of Regional Waste initiatives, which includes preparing grant applications and implementation plans, procuring necessary resources, and establishing contracts. Your work will entail close collaboration with member councils, ensuring these initiatives not only meet project objectives but also adhere to specified timelines.
As a pivotal part of this position, you will take the lead in the development and implementation of advocacy campaigns, specifically focused on addressing Regional Waste priorities. You should have exceptional relationship-building skills, coupled with outstanding communication and negotiation abilities, to ensure you establish and maintain vital relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders.
You should have a proven track record in project management, encompassing the entire project lifecycle, from planning to successful implementation and monitoring. An understanding of local government and waste management policies and practices will be advantageous.
Based in Rockhampton, with the potential for a hybrid working arrangement, an attractive total remuneration package is being offered based on skills and experience.
