Employment Term: Casual or permanent part-time opportunities available 

Location: located in the peaceful surrounds of Auchenflower, The Wesley Hospital is just 5 mins from Toowong Shopping Village and 10 mins from Brisbane City

Remuneration: $25.29 - $27.15 + 10.5% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances

Your part in The Wesley Hospital team

Working as an Orderly in the Theatre team, you will assist the nursing staff with the safe transfer, repositioning and mobilisation of patients and the setting up of the theatre equipment in preparation for procedures.

Duties and responsibilities will include: 

  • Ensuring patient safety during procedures and transfers 
  • Handling and setting up of hospital equipment in preparation for procedures
  • Assiting the transport of patients to and from the ICU
  • Following hospital guidelines in relation to Infection Control
  • Assisting nursing team members with various patient procedures
  • Safe manual handling and the effective use of mechanical lifting aids

Shift times:

  • Early 6.30am – 3pm
  • Late 2.30pm – 11pm (once fully trained)
