What will you do?
Within our small team, you will have the opportunity to work on:
- End-to-end Volume/Bulk Recruitment of recruits - 'recruits' are entry level employees commencing their training at the AFP College, before embarking on a career in:
- AFP National Policing
- ACT Policing
- Or as a Protective Service Officer (PSO)
- Recruitment of experienced Police Officers from other states/territories
- Coordination of internal promotional rounds for our emerging Police and PSO leaders
As a member of our team, you would contribute to the recruitment of hundreds of new Police and PSOs each year. Our work is both challenging and highly rewarding, and it contributes to the AFP's mission of keeping Australia and Australians safe. Your duties would include:
- Administering recruitment actions using our in-house applicant tracking system (SAP SuccessFactors)
- Providing candidate care and engagement, supporting candidates through the recruitment process, including via our inbox and candidate care hotline
- Coordinating and assessing at assessment centres and interviews, often in locations around the country
- Contributing to improvements in our policies, our applicant tracking system, our processes and work flows, and our assessment/selection practices
- Liaising with a variety internal stakeholders
- Attending career fairs and information sessions as a positive and informative brand ambassador
- Working closely with colleagues in Marketing, as well as operational members in the business, on large national advertising campaigns
