Tennyson Centre Day Surgery is part of the Nexus Hospitals group. We employ over 1600 talented and passionate people across 27 hospitals, as well as 3 support offices.
Tennyson Centre Day Hospital is a purpose-built day surgery with two operating theatres, three procedure rooms and recovery. We specialise in Ophthalmology, Urology, Minor Plastic Surgery, Oral Surgery, Gastroenterology and Endoscopy.About the Role:
Due to an expansion in our services we are after experienced Anaesthetic and PACU nurses to join the dynamic Tennyson Centre Day Hospital team. This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.
- Assist nursing team to deliver safe, evidence based patient care
- Ensure the theatre complex and equipment are ready for surgery
- Ensure that patient safety and communication with surgical team is a key focus at all times
- Monitor and evaluate patient recovery, addressing complications
- Deliver education and support to patients for the management of their recovery
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence across all areas of the hospital

About You:You have a genuine passion for nursing, providing world-class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:
- Solid experience in a comparable role within theatre / perioperative setting
- Anaesthetic and PACU experience essential
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- A true commitment to delivering high quality patient care
- Registration with AHPRA
