Where you'll be working
Brookvale Community Health Centre, the Northern Beaches Community Mental Health Service (NBCMHS) comprises of different Community services, working in multidisciplinary teams comprised of Nurse, psychologists, Occupational therapists, Social Workers, and Psychiatrists. This ensures consumers and carers are offered a broad range of knowledge and experience in all aspects of Mental Health.

MHDA Statement of Intention
The intention of the NSLHD MHDA is to provide recovery-oriented, trauma informed services that are guided by evidence based practices and collaboration.
Working autonomously and with a team, the aim is to install hope, promote wellbeing and support recovery in the lives of adults living in the Northern Beaches area who are living with Mental Health challenges. The Outreach Team Care Coordinates consumers, ensuring they can develop their recovery and personal goals collaboratively.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Registered Nurse – Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Current Mental Health, drug and alcohol clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
- A commitment to excellence in Mental Health nursing practice and continuing professional development.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
- An understanding of the professional, ethical and legal requirements of the Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the use of information technology systems.
