About the Role
Narrabri District Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Midwife to provide safe, compassionate woman centred care within the maternity service ensuring care is delivered in partnership with women and their families. You will also take a leadership role in coordinating midwifery care, working in partnership with Registered Nurses, and Student Midwives, and the multidisciplinary team in a collaborative model which places the woman at the centre of her maternity care. The successful applicant will be providing woman centred antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care to women and their families. The Midwife may see women as outpatients who are experiencing pregnancy related conditions as well as those who require increase monitoring in their pregnancy. The Clinical Midwifery Educator is located between two sites and is available when required to make sure you are always supported.

About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and professional Midwives to join our team. The Midwife must be culturally sensitive and supportive to women. You will have the capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise. You will also have the ability to manage the midwifery care of a woman by applying evidence based practice and critical thinking and the ability to advocate for and implement individualised woman centred care.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).
