Job Description:
As a Registered Midwife at One Mama Midwife Antenatal Classes, you will play a pivotal role in educating and supporting expectant parents throughout their pregnancy journey. You will create a nurturing and inclusive environment where parents can connect, learn, and prepare for the birth of their child.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting engaging and informative birth classes for expectant parents following the One Mama Midwife Course Content.
- Providing evidence-based information on pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care.
- Facilitating group discussions and interactive activities to promote active learning and engagement.
- Offering emotional support and guidance to expectant parents, addressing their questions and concerns.
- Demonstrating comfort measures, relaxation techniques, and coping strategies for labour.
- Collaborating with a team of childbirth educators to continuously improve class content and delivery.
- Maintaining accurate records and evaluations of class participants.
- Staying updated on the latest developments in midwifery and childbirth education.
Qualifications:
- Current registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing midwife (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passion for empowering expectant parents and promoting positive birth experiences.
- Ability to adapt to diverse learning needs and preferences.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for class schedules.
