We are seeking a youth access clinician on a permanent basis to join a leading provider in youth mental health support services. The organization prides itself on supporting young people aged 12-25, supporting them to thrive in their community.
The position is for either 3 or 4 days per week drive-in drive-out from Perth. Working Tuesday- Thursday in their centre outside Perth (1 hour 15 mins distance) with accommodation provided, the fourth working day is based in Perth.
The role:
- Provide short-term counselling and brief intervention to young people
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team to support the individual, family and wider circle
- Refer patients to other suitable services when required
- Provide psycho-social assessment and intervention
- Maintain accurate case notes and records
Essential requirements
- Tertiary level qualifications in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, counselling or mental health nursing
- Relevant professional registration with AHPRA / AASW / ACA
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working in a clinical setting
- Experience in psycho-social assessment and suicide risk assessments
- Experience working with vulnerable groups
- C class drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle
