What you'll be doing
To support the Collections Manager in the provision of safe, customer-focused pathology service provision, and the management of associated clinical, operational and staffing requirements.

- Registered Nurse with current registration through the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency, with a Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia approved qualification.
- Demonstrated experience acting in an in-charge position, including the ability to work in a team environment whilst supervising.
- Display initiative, problem solving and analytical skills, including an ability to apply established principles in a pathology setting and investigate and resolve general and complex issues within the work environment.
- Customer focused approach displaying well-developed interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with customers, patients and clinical staff.
- Previous venepuncture experience and familiarity with pathology terminology and requirements, with knowledge of paediatric and neonate Blood Collections or the willingness to learn.
- Commitment to the principles of quality management and continuous quality improvement and to identify, develop and implement quality and service improvement activities.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the delivery of pathology services, including the use of Patient, Rostering and Quality systems and Microsoft Office suite, with an understanding of policies, legislation and requirements relevant to a clinical setting.
