An exciting opportunity has become available for a Registered Nurse to join the new Diagnostic Breast Imaging service. You will:
- Assist doctors with biopsies and fine needle aspirations.
- Coordinate clinic workflow to ensure high-quality & efficient patient care.
- Manage clinic resources including stock, linen, and equipment.
The role:
- Nursing Care: In collaboration with members of the healthcare team plan, implement and evaluates patient/client care.
- Teamwork: Interact effectively with patients’/clients’ families and other health team members to facilitate the provision of optimum patient/client care.
- Excellence in Practice: Active involvement in maintaining and continually improving the quality of patient/client care. This may include participation in research and evidence-based practice.
- Learning Culture: Identify and meet educational needs of patients/clients and their families/significant others.

The team:
The Diagnostic Breast Imaging service is a new service that provides public diagnostic breast imaging to Tasmanians. Currently, it provides care to patients requiring diagnostic breast imaging as part of their public episode of care but intends to be expanded to include referrals from GPs for patients with symptoms.
Details of Appointment:
Fixed term, part time, day worker position working 15.2 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for 12 months.

- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Location: Hobart, Tasmania
Salary: $75,902 to $102,908 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Access to the Grade 4 salary range $96,558 - $102,908 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
