About the role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join a great supportive team in a part-time role at our Brooke Street practice. The role is a part-time position, the position will be approx. 15-30 hours per week including late afternoons and weekends plus possible additional hours for leave cover as required. The ideal candidate will be able to work across CDM and Treatment rooms. Our nurses are integral in delivering day-to-day clinical support to our doctors as well as consistent and the highest quality of healthcare to our patients. The successful applicant will join a friendly team in a dynamic environment and be provided with opportunities for professional development.
We are looking for someone who can think laterally and has the ability to work both independently when required and cohesively within a team environment.
The successful candidate will need to be highly motivated with a sound background in patient care and be able to adapt to an ever-changing environment and industry.
Nursing tasks are varied and examples include:
- Triage and management of acutely unwell patients
- Immunisations of children and adults
- Wound care
- Health assessments including workplace medicals
- Assisting with minor procedures
- Results notification and patient education
- Cold chain management
Our ideal candidate will have qualities, skills and experience including:
- Current Registered Nurse AHPRA registration.
- Previous experience working in general practice and/or emergency preferable
- A warm and friendly personality with a commitment to working as a part of a team of professionals.
- Dedication to the provision of the highest standard of nursing care with exceptional attention to detail.
- Flexibility with workdays and hours.
- Proficient computer skills (previous experience with General Practice software not essential but highly regarded, especially Medical Director).
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Ability to take on a dynamic role, working across CDM and treatment room
