The East Corrimal Medical Centre is seeking to employ an enthusiastic, dynamic individual to perform duties as a Registered Nurse at our Medical Practice with potential for permanent employment after 3 months. We will consider both part-time and full-time hours. In this position you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining up to date Health Assessments and Care Plans for our patient population in clinic and at RACF.
- Assisting with patient education and community health promotion activities
- Assisting doctors with clinical procedures; planning and management of patient care and patient advocacy
- Maintaining clinical documentation
- Maintaining awareness of OH&S and legislation to ensure business is complying with all statutory and regulatory obligations including infection control, sterilisation, hazardous materials & safe handling/disposal of medical waste and stock control
- Acting within practice and nursing code of ethics and appropriate level of clinical competence
- Complying with patient confidentiality and privacy obligations
- As per award wage
Education, Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Appropriate tertiary qualification & registration certificate
- Professional indemnity cover
- Demonstrated understanding of needs of general practice and patient-focused approach in service provision
- Knowledge of current immunisation schedules, diabetes management, asthma management, infection control, triage, and enhanced primary care
Desirable:
- Minimum of one years nursing experience
- Additional qualifications such as Accredited Women's Health Certificate, Diabetes Education Certificate, Asthma/Spirometry qualification
- Member of APNA
- Previous experience with health assessments, care plans and cycles of care.
