Form of workWe are a privately owned medical practice in the eastern suburbs seeking experienced Registered Nurses for a very busy well-established clinic.
The role
- Lead the team with a key focus on enhancing and strengthening a high-performance culture
- Maintain and nurture a positive environment in which a diverse workforce can grow and develop
- Ability to build a professional relationship with doctors, administration and nursing staff, allied health practitioners, drug representatives and patients
- Knowledge of Best Practice system or the ability to learn quickly
- Patient support and triage
- Assisting Doctors with procedures and patient care
- Dressings and wound management
- Vaccinations - administration, cold chain management & documentation
- Office diagnostic procedures -Dopplers, ECGS
- Please note the Practice Nurses are NOT required to do Care Plans
- Administrative duties within our reminder/recall system
About you
- Bachelor of Nursing and AHPRA registration
- Working with Children Check
- Police Clearance Certificate
- Demonstrated patient-focused approach in service provision with genuine empathy and interest in their needs
- A sense of urgency, compassion and professionalism
- Proven multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills
- Work well within a team environment and independently
- Strong leadership, communication and motivational skills
- A professional manner and presentation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to ethical behaviour and undertake all duties in a diligent manner with honesty and integrity
- Strong work ethic
- Friendly, courteous and obliging. Representing the practice in a confident and positive manner at all times
- Have a vigilant attitude to accuracy, being prepared to double check as necessary
- Familiarity with Best Practice medical software desirable but not essential
- Additional qualifications, e.g. vaccination certificate, venepuncture & pathology collection certification - desirable but not essential
