Our team at Townsville & Suburban Medical Practice has a position available for someone who loves to get to know their patients, perform best practice nursing care, and collaborate with the team to really improve the health outcomes of our community.

We are offering a full-time permanent Registered Nurse role for the right person to come on board and be part of our team. There may be an opportunity for this role to have flexible working arrangements within a rotating fortnightly roster.

Applicants require

• The skill and the will to do a great job
• Previous experience in general practice nursing
• Current registration with AHPRA (RN)
• Training in CPR, undertaken within the past 12 months
• A high level of computer literacy

Desirable

• Previous experience using Best Practice medical software
• A basic understanding of the Medicare Benefits Schedule
• Authorised Nurse Immuniser status
• Cannulation and venepuncture skills
• Knowledge in sterilisation
• Experience in vaccine and cold chain management

There are 15 GPs with a mix of full time and part time. We are a large clinic with administration, allied health, corporate and nursing teams who are all values aligned and focused on doing their jobs at the highest standards.
