- clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with experience

Nursing positions are paid in accordance with the following agreements and classifications:
- Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024. The classification is Registered Nurse Grade 2 (YP3 - YP9) which ranges from $35.04 - $46.86 per hour. The classification for Midwives Grade 2 is Registered Nurse Grade 2 (YS2 - YS8) which ranges from $35.04 $46.83.
- Victorian Public Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement 2016-2020. The Classification for Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 2 (NP11 - NP26) $31.27 - $42.45.
