We have a highly engaged, diverse and collaborative workforce that is unified by our purpose, which is to help people live healthy and fulfilled lives.About Mary Guthrie House:A unique, state-wide multi-component neuropsychiatry unit providing individualised, slow stream recovery support to adults with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) or neurodegenerative condition, and associated mental illness, including responsive behaviours. The unit has a neuropsychiatric rehabilitation focus, working collaboratively with consumers to improve and maintain functional independence and to live their best life, as they define it.
About the role:This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced social worker to work within a specialist neuropsychiatry unit as part of a supportive, dedicated multi-disciplinary team.A regular day will see you:
- Work collaboratively with consumers, families, carers and key stakeholders
- Contribute social work expertise within the mulitdisciplinary team
- Actively liaise with community service providers and coordinate care to support consumer engagement with community and discharge planning
- Contribute to ongoing evaluation and improvement initiatives and portfolio work, in collaboration with leadership
About you:Ideally, you’ll have:
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated clinical experience in Mental Health
- A keen interest in working in a specialist neuropsychiatry unit
- APHRA registration
