A rare and exciting employment opportunity is now available for a Registered Nurse to join the NBMLHD team in the Cardiac Cath Lab in a Permanent Part time position, located at Nepean Hospital.This imperative role will see you provide safe and effective patient-centred nursing care to the patients/clients and carers of Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District, and to ensure optimal outcomes for patients/clients and carers of the service through the promotion of best practice including the appropriate escalation of care. Your role will see you practice under the supervision of a Registered Midwife if required to work in maternity wards/units and work collaboratively utilising effective team communication with members of the multidisciplinary health team in the planning, implementation, assessment and evaluation of patient care.At all times you will act as an advocate for the specific needs of all patients/clients and carers including those from the indigenous population or other multi-cultural groups providing appropriate care to the patient/client undergoing specialised procedures and maintain and promote a professional standard evidenced by ethical nursing practice, adherence to the policies and procedures of the Nursing and Midwifery Service, NMBLHD and the appropriate legislation and statutory regulations.Apply now to join the NBMLHD team!An eligibility list may be created for future vacancies.About us:Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a wonderful place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge. • Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
• Demonstrated effective communication skills, verbal and written
• Ability to work Monday to Friday, Mornings and Evenings, and on-call 7 days week
• Computer literacy and committment to personal development
• Preference for recent Advance Life Support training
• Demonstrated extensive experience in acute cardiac nursing, with recent Cath Lab experience (including Completion of a new graduate RN program or equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse)
