Registered Nurse – Cardiac Scrub Scout | Wollongong

A fantastic opportunity is available for a driven and passionate Cardiac Scrub ScoutRegistered Nurse to become a part of the Perioperative Services team at a private hospital located in Wollongong. This is a full-time permanent position.ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
• Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
• Ensuring patient and staff safety;
• Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members, Enrolled Nurses (ENs), and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care;
• Delivering education and support to patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs;

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Current registration with the AHPRA;
• At least 2 years of experience or more as a Registered Nurse in a perioperative setting with Cardiac Scrub Scout;
• Relevant post-graduate qualifications will be highly regarded though not essential;
• A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to role model;
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care within the multi-disciplinary team;
• Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, and strong listening, negotiation, and decision-making skills;
• Knowledge of and commitment to the continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice;
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills;

REMUNERATIONA salary ranges between $34.43 and $48.33 per hour, based on your years of relevant nursing experience.ABOUT THE FACILITYThe hospital, located in Wollongong, is a 171-bed private acute facility that provides all primary services, including an intensive care unit, ten operating theatres, cardiac, and vascular Labs and an Endoscopy suite.
