About Us: Our client is a not-for profit residential Aged Care Service that caters for both respite and permanent residents of all care needs. They are situated in the Oasis of the Outback, Mount Isa and are dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to their residents.
We are seeking an experienced, and dedicated RN for our Clinical Quality Compliance position, to join their team on a Full-Time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and support their aged care facility in maintaining high standards of care and Compliance.

Role Purpose: As the Quality Compliance Nurse, you will provide strong and effective leadership and support our clients Managers on compliance issues measured against Commonwealth and State legislation, the Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and other regulations and guidelines. Your role is crucial in ensuring the safety of our residents and the quality of care provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct all 3-monthly Care Plan reviews and attend admissions and ongoing assessments.
- Assist the Clinical Care Manager (CCM) with ACFI assessments and liaise with senior nurses, QML Pharmacy, and doctors regarding resident care.
- Monitor wound care documentation and update care plans after allied health reviews.
- Audit and ensure timely updates for IDC, PEG changes, and regularly scheduled injections.
- Review medication charts for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide daily updates to the CCM and maintain close working relationships with senior nurses.
- Participate in health and safety training and comply with risk management policies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintain professional development.
Key Requirements:
- Valid Nursing Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Degree level qualification in nursing
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience as a Registered Nurse, in Aged Care
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and proactive attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
- Capacity to handle multiple responsibilities and prioritise tasks effectively
