A position is available for a Registered Nurse who can join our expanding team of continence specialists. We offer in house training and support on continence skills to be able to represent our business
This position is based in North Ringwood and will be full time Monday - Friday 9-5pm. Travel throughout Melbourne Eastern suburbs area is required with use of a company car.
Position Description
Continence assessments for clients ranging from Children to adults predominantly in the disability sector
Client assessments are held in our consultant suites at Nth Ringwood, at the clients home, supported residential services, aged care facilities and school settings.
Prescribe suitable continence products, bed wetting alarm programs and/or skin care for individual client needs.
Educate clients/parents and /or carers on toilet-training, healthy bowel and bladder function, intermittent self-catheterization, catheter and urodrome drainage, bowel irrigation, night wetting alarm programs and use of adsorbent/washable continence product.
Write a comprehensive report of client goals, needs, recommendations and products for all NDIS clients
Maintain electronic client database, electronic reports and emails on clients’ records
Essential Criteria
Continence trained/ Certificate an advantage
Ability to problem solve/think laterally when working with clients who have diverse needs
Must have invaluable interpersonal skills, dealings with clients of all ages, abilities, socio-economic
Ability to be self-motivated and maintain positive and effective relations with clients and staff
Demonstrated organisational skills and the capacity to successfully manage competing priorities and meeting deadlines
Excellent written and verbal skills in writing client reports and performing reviews
Competence in computer literacy a must
Current Victorian Driver’s License, Police check, Working with Children’s check, NDIS Workers Screening and AHPRA nursing registration
