NeuroKids is a dedicated community neurological nursing and health care navigation service for WA kids living with any type of neurological condition or symptom, with special focus on 10-17 years olds.

About the role
Our team of NeuroKids Community Neurological Nurses (CNNs) provide specialist neuro-nursing consultancy services and health and disability system navigation via telehealth, home visits and regional outreach, working in partnership with parents, caregivers, hospital, health, disability, education and allied care professionals.

To be considered for the role, you will need:
- Current AHPRA registration with clinical competency in nursing practice.
- At least 3 years paediatric nursing experience, with experience in neurological conditions highly regarded.
- Skills in providing information, education, assessment, support and advocacy for patients, carers and families impacted by health conditions.
- Confidence liaising with health professionals and service providers.
- Exceptional professionalism and time management focussed on maximising client outcomes.
- Proficiency in using technology and online client management systems
- Relevant WA Health immunisations and worker screening checks
- Current WA drivers' licence and ability to safely travel within the metro area to provide community nursing services.

The Neurological Council of Western Australia is a well-regarded not-for-profit health peak and service provider based at The Niche, QEIIMC, Nedlands with regional NeuroCare offices in the South-West, Mid-West and Great Southern and mobile RNs covering the Wheatbelt and Peel Regions, plus regional and remote outreach.
The NeuroKids CNN SW position will initially be offered as a 12-month fixed term contract with two-year option to renew in line with funding arrangements.
