About Perioperative Services
Perioperative Services is a comprehensive dedicated service incorporating all aspects involved in surgical intervention for patients, comprising Triage, Surgical Pre-admission Clinic, Booking Office, Anaesthetic Department, Acute Pain Services, Operating Theatre, Day Surgery Unit and our brand new Day Procedure Centre.
About the role
As a Registered Nurse you will work across both our Day Surgery Unit and Day Procedure Centre, and provide comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care of your assigned patients.
A regular day will see you:
- Provide high-quality nursing care, rotating between both units
- Liaise with team members and NUM’s to maximise patient outcomes and enhance own learning
- Participate in relevant unit and hospital education and research programs
- Use the Women’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) effectively

About you
You will be someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with strong organisational capability. You’ll be committed to providing excellence in patient care, and can work both independently and in a team with ease.
You’ll bring with you:
- Division 1 Nurse Registration with AHPRA
- Knowledge of surgical nursing and gynaecology nursing
- Operating theatre or PACU experience
- Experience in women’s health nursing (highly desirable but not essential)
