ABOUT THE ROLE: 

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join the Day of Surgery Admissions (DOSA) and Medical Day Stay (MDS) Unit at the Werribee Mercy Hospital.

  • Rotating roster between DOSA and MDS. Our unit operates Monday to Friday – no public holidays, no weekends.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
  • Enthusiastic and motivated, willing to embrace changes in practice and adapt with the environment
  • Previous experience in oncology nursing and IV cannulation competency desirable, although not essential
  • Previous experience in surgical nursing desirable, although not essential
  • Demonstrate skills in organization, time management, prioritization and critical thinking

Werribee Mercy Hospital is a General Public Hospital located in the rapidly growing Western suburbs of Melbourne. Our services include surgical, medical, maternity, newborn, renal dialysis, emergency, mental health, rehabilitation, aged and palliative care. The hospital has recently undergone significant expansion with the opening or our new intensive care unit, additional operating theatres and the opening of two new wards, taking the total number of beds to 298. WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Candidates are required to meet the position and qualification requirements.
