Permanent Full Time Position available on a family run dairy farm located in the Northwest of Tasmania milking 600 cows through a 40 aside swing over dairy with automatic cup removers
The successful applicant will be in charge of managing the daily operations of the dairy farm including but not limited to:
• Implementation and monitory of quality assurance procedures ensuring compliance through current and relevant documentation
• Supervising of the animal health programs ensuring optimal environments as outline in the Australian Animal Welfare Standards and Guidelines – Cattle
• Implementation of calving procedures
• Administering and supervising animal health programs including breeding programs, vaccinations and drenching
• Working along side the owner planning crop rotations
• Ensuring milk quality is kept to the highest standards.
Requirements
• Relevant Qualification or equivalent experience
• 2 years recent and relevant experience
• Must pass a drug test
Salary
• Salary range $70,000 -$75,000
