- Our department cares for trauma, neurosurgical emergencies, neurology patients, including acute stroke, major orthopaedic, cardiology and cardiothoracic, and paediatrics including paediatric/adolescent Mental Health. Caring for over 85,000 presentations per annum, The JHH ED is one of the busiest mixed Adult/Paediatric Tertiary Referral Centres in Australia and the only Trauma Referral Centre in NSW outside Sydney.
