- Patient centred provision of excellent care to our patients presenting to our Emergency
- Role modelling and mentoring likeminded employee’s and working within the team collaboratively
- Participating in quality improvement across the program to support best practice
- Opportunities are provided to apply for in-house Transition to Specialty Practice (TSP) or Masters in Critical Care – Emergency Nursing while working in a supported environment with skilled educators.
We have ongoing full and part time opportunities across a 24/7 rotating roster
About Us:
Our Emergency Department at Dandenong, is responsible for over 68,000 emergency presentations annually and covers the Greater Dandenong, Gippsland and the Mornington Peninsula. Our patient presentations include Medical, Surgical, Cardiac as well as Trauma, Mental Health, Orthopaedics, Plastics, Paediatric and Women’s Health and range from start of life to end of life care with a wide range of patient acuity. Our ED is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care across a wide range of acute medical and surgical emergencies within a modern, purpose built facility. The department is also exemplary in commencing a Candidacy program for Nurse Practitioners for those that wish to grow their career in this area.
What you bring
You are a Registered Nurse with a positive attitude who loves to laugh and enjoys being at work with likeminded nurses. You share this passion for nursing through demonstrating your skill and knowledge with your patients while donning a smile. You love the adrenaline charge that this type of nursing brings – every day is exciting! This is why you chose to be a nurse after all!
Along with this, you have proven experience working in an Emergency department and/or demonstrated skills in an acute/critical care setting.
Post graduate studies would be highly regarded but are not essential.
