Registered Nurse – Endoscopy Unit at St Vincent’s Hospital

The Endoscopy Unit at Calvary Launceston will provide training in the relevant areas to assist in your development. So, weather you’ve done this before or not, we welcome you to apply to be a part of this very efficient team here at Calvary. Calvary Launceston Endoscopy provides excellent patient centred care which is reflected very well in our patient feedback that is returned to us weekly to increase our focus on the care of patients.

Our staff here at Calvary have educational opportunities throughout the year and once a year our staff get an opportunity to go to the Largest Australian Gastroenterology conference in Sydney.

Key Responsibilities

  • Admission documentation
  • Patient comfort and support before, during and after
  • Discharging patients, which includes patient education and documentation
  • Providing patient support in Recovery post procedure
  • Assisting in the procedure room with the three aspects of our nurses in the room, such as- anaesthetics Nurse, Scout Nurse and a Procedural Assisting Nurse.
  • Infection control Knowledge

What you bring 

  • AHPRA Registration
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
  • Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
