Form of workAn opportunity has arisen for an experienced, professional, dynamic practice nurse (RN) to join our team at Balwyn Doctors. Whilst this position will be a part time role (2 days per week to start with) plus holiday and leave cover.
Experience & Responsibilities:
- Triage and prioritizing patient needs effectively.
- Administering immunizations and prescribed medications under physician guidance.
- Coordinating health assessments and GP management plans with precision.
- Proficiency in wound care and dressing application.
- Assisting doctors in minor procedures with confidence and competence.
- Collaborating with allied health specialists and other third-party stakeholders.
- Iron Infusion
- Efficient management of medical supplies and inventory.
- Staying abreast of public health news and adhering to best practices.
- Conducting ECGs, spirometry tests, and infection control measures.
- Maintaining clinical equipment sterilization and cold chain management.
- Thorough patient file management and accurate record-keeping.
- Managing recalls and reminders for optimal patient care continuity.
- Registered Nurse Division 1 with current AHPRA Registration
- Proven expertise in general practice nursing, Minimum 12 months' experience in a primary care clinical (non-hospital) setting.
- Current Police check and Working with Children check.
- Current CPR certificate, medication endorsement, and professional indemnity insurance.
- COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
- Proficiency in general practice software (Best Practice).
