ABOUT THE ROLE:mecwacare’s Home Nursing and Care Services is seeking an experienced community nurse to provide home based nursing to our clients. provide home based nursing care in order to reduce hospital stays and improve long-term patient health. The successful applicants will provide holistic and evidence-based nursing to a variety of clients of all ages for post-acute care (PAC) or hospital in the home (HITH) patients. Services to be provided could include wound care, IDC or stoma care, personal care, medication administration and supervision, blood glucose monitoring and application of compression stockings.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
 

• Registered NurseGrade 3 with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Community nursing experience 
• Minimum 5 years of community nursing experience
• Initiative and strong decision making skills;
• Effective time management and problem solving abilities;
• Current driver’s licence and registered vehicle.
• Current NDIS Clearance 

DESIRABLE: 
 

• Community nursing experience
• Experience working with children with disability. 
• Current Working with Children Check
