AddressThe Apheresis and Venesection unit of Royal North Shore Hospital is seeking a permanent full time and part time Registered Nurses. Situated within the outpatient Northern Sydney Cancer Centre (NSCC), this highly specialised unit caters for Haematology, Neurology, Immunology, Dermatology and Renal patients.

Where you'll be working
The unit offers services such as therapeutic apheresis plasma exchange, red cell exchange, cytapheresis (e.g. peripheral stem cell collection, mononuclear cell collection, leukapheresis) and venesection for a broad range of disorders and diseases. The unit operates under the leadership of the Apheresis Medical Director, and Clinical Nurse Consultant for Apheresis. Additionally, it maintains robust affiliation with the Medical Specialist, Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Consultants and the Norther Sydney Cancer Center's Day Treatment Unit. We are looking for applicants who are highly motivated to acquire new skills, adaptable and preferably possess knowledge in haematological disorders. Please note that this role includes participation in an on-call rostering system.

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the greater health care team to achieve quality patient care outcome.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Post registration experience in the acute care setting, with knowledge in haematological disorders.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
- A commitment to excellence in nursing practice and continuing professional development.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
