About the job:
If you are seeking a challenging and rewarding Registered Nurse position that supports patients to avoid hospital admissions or provides treatment In The patient’s home to support early discharge from Hospital, then this is the job for you.
The successful applicant for this position will be located at Taree Community Health, working with the Hospital In The Home (HITH) team. This position works within a multi-disciplinary team including Community Nursing, Palliative Care, Cardiac & Respiratory Rehabilitation, Continence, Dietetics, Diabetes, Wound Management and Audiometry. You will be working within a small team that works a combination of twelve-hour or eight-hour day shifts over a seven-day period.
In this role you will be supported by various experienced professionals including the Nurse Unit Manager and for speciality tasks you will be further supported by the Wound Management Specialist and Clinical Nurse Educator. Education and training opportunities will be supported if they are appropriate to the core business of the HITH role.

About you:
We are searching for a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who applies evidence based practice and critical thinking, with the ability to implement individualised person centred care. You will need to have good organisational, time management, and task prioritising skills, be caring and motivated with a positive teamwork ethic.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Accredited with IV cannulation skills, PICC line & Porta-Cath maintenance.
- Attend annual Clinical Competencies in Aseptic Technique, Porta-Cath access, Intravenous Cannulation, PICC line maintenance.
