 About the Role:

Secure a permanent part time position in Sorell as a Registered Nurse Level 1 or 2, sharing your experience and motivating the team

Provide person centred nursing care to residents at Uniting AgeWell Ningana

• Deliver high quality nursing skills to residents and support their families, with consideration for cultural, spiritual and individual needs
• Complex needs require following skillsets
  • catheter management incl. catheterization
  • palliative care incl. syringe driver management
  • wound management
  • identification and escalation of clinical deterioration
  • strong documentation skills with knowledge of ANACC
• Provide leadership, support, orientation and education to Enrolled Nurses and Extended Care Assistants 
• Promote a harmonious team approach by acting as a role model in coordinating daily routines and adhering to safe practice measures in medication management
• Permanent full time or part time afternoon and night duty rosters, working Monday to Friday

About You:

You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents to support them to live life to their potential!

• Current 2024 registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Div1)
• Experienced as an Registered Nurse in residential aged care/ home care (desired)
• Experience with dementia care and palliative care support (desired)
• Proficiency in decision making, critical analysis and on the spot problem solving
• Are wanting job security with a supportive and encouraging leadership team who will provide career development with your goals in mind
• Have a desire to dedicate your skills and time,
• Ready to work either full or part time 2.45pm-10pm or 9.45pm-7.15am from Monday to Friday 
• Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions

Essentials for working in Aged Care:

• Current and required flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations
• A current Working With Vulnerable People Card
• Australian working rights
• Ability to pass a national police clearance
