Registered Nurse

About the role

We seek an enthusiastic and motivated nurse for our small but busy Brand New GP practice in West Ipswich, 2-4 Days a week. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse who would like work with our existing team of doctors, receptionists, and another Registered Nurse.

The applicant must be professional, efficient, hardworking and have the ability to create a good rapport with GPs, staff and patients. We are looking for someone with passion, who is keen to work with the clinical team to uphold and maintain treatment room systems and procedures, multitasking effectively for smooth work flow.

Task and Responsibilities 

• Recording patient’s vital signs
• Administering immunisations
• Wound care
• Triage
• Assisting with minor procedures
• Stock control
• ECGs and acute care
• Recalls and reminders
• Health assessments
• Managing patients with chronic health conditions

Position Requirements:

• Current APHRA RN registration
• Previous experience in GP Practice (ideally)
• Willingness to learn and work as a team but also able to work autonomously
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task
• Have the ability to follow procedure but be confident in decision making skills
• Able to assist and work well with GPs and allied health
• Competent computer skills and experience with GP practice software (ideally Best Practice)
• Must be up to date with Immunisation administering.
• You must be flexible to work additional hours to assist with leave cover, including school holidays.
