Form of workWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join us in our medical practices in Canberra. Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will provide high-quality nursing care and support to our doctors and patients. Part-time applicants are also welcome to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Administer vaccinations to patients following established protocols.
- Manage and dress wounds, ensuring proper infection control measures.
- Conduct health assessments on patients, including taking vital signs and documenting medical history.
- Assist doctors with minor procedures by preparing equipment and providing support during the procedure.
- Maintain stock control and management of medical supplies, ensuring adequate levels are maintained at all times.
- Ensure proper sterilization processes are followed for equipment and instruments used during patient care.

- Warm and reassuring approach towards patients, creating a comfortable environment for their care.
- Energetic and enthusiastic about nursing in general practice, showing dedication to delivering quality healthcare services.
- Methodical, organized, and able to prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Interested in upskilling through professional development opportunities that expand the scope of practice.
- Minor procedural experience.
- Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia
- Familiarity with Best Practice Software is preferred.
- Willing to work across multiple centers if required.
