Job description
Exciting opportunities exist for acute medical/surgical Registered Nurses with excellent interpersonal skills to join the established nursing team within the Medical/Surgical Unit at a private hospital in Melbourne. Permanent full-time and part-time positions are available.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include the following:
Provide evidenced based nursing care;
Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team;
Ensure patient and staff safety;
Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care;
Deliver education and support to individuals/patients to manage their health recovery, rehabilitation or end-of-life needs.
REQUIREMENTS
Current registration with AHPRA;
Working with Children's and National Police checks;
Minimum 2 years of acute surgical/medical nursing experience;
Acute surgical nursing experience (desired);
Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
Excellent communication and customer service skills;
Works well independently and within a team;
Basic computer skills.

The hospital, located 30kms east of Melbourne CBD, is an acute Medical, Surgical and Oncology hospital providing excellence in customer service and patient care. Specialities include general medicine, ENT, Plastics, gastroenterology, Gynaecology, Oral and maxillofacial surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, Vascular, Respiratory Medicine, and comprehensive oncological service.
REMUNERATION
Salary ranges from $33.054 - $44.21 per hour.
