Emerald Hospital provides a range of hospital and visiting specialist services to the Emerald and Central Highlands region. Our vision, in our is for Emerald Hospital to be the Central Highlands hub for emergency, maternity, diagnostic and some surgical services. The population of the surrounding community is approximately 28,000 with 15,000 at Emerald. There are two small hospitals within 100kms, located at Blackwater and Springsure. Emerald Hospital is a 28 bed facility, has two operating theatres and approximately 160 staff delivering services across acute, community and primary care.
About the role:
Purpose
- It is the purpose of this role to demonstrate nursing competence in the provision of nursing care to inpatients and outpatients whilst in the department.
- Undertake delegated and delegate activities while assuming individual accountability for actions within the position and context of practice.
- The purpose of the role of Registered Nurse (RN) for Central Queensland (CQ) Health is to provide holistic person-centred care and practice within an interdisciplinary team environment.
- The Registered Nurse provides and evaluates contemporary evidence-based nursing care in alignment with accepted standards CQ Health guidelines and policies.
To be successful in this role you must have current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Total remuneration value of up to $117,580 p.a. is comprised of:
- A salary between $40.51 - $51.97 p.h.
