Form of workA fantastic chance awaits a Registered Nurse specialising in Recovery & PACU who brings exceptional interpersonal and customer service talents to become a valued member of the Recovery Unit at a private hospital in Canberra. Both permanent full-time and part-time roles are available.
ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
- Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
- Ensuring patient and staff safety;
- Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care;
- Delivering education and support to individuals/patients to manage their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Working with Children check;
- Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards);
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- Works well independently and within a team;
- Basic computer skills.

REMUNERATION
If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience ranging between $38.72 - $52.32 per hour.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Canberra, is an acute facility with 7 operating theatres, an Angiography Suite, a 2-bed Critical Care Unit, Medical Rehab, and a Day Chemotherapy/Infusion unit. The extensive range of acute and medical healthcare include orthopaedics, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, general surgery, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, vascular surgery, urology and geriatric medicine.
