The Opportunity
We are currently looking for Chinese-speaking Register Nurse (RN) to join our professional team based in our Aged Care facility in Sunnybank Hill, QLD. Although experienced RNs will be highly advantageous, we would also love to hear from recent graduated RNs with a passion and caring heart about the elderly.
RNs play a key role in providing high-quality, safe, and timely contemporary clinical support and care to residents to improve age-related deterioration in a resident's social, mental, and physical capacities to function independently, and live with dignity, self-determination, and comfort as their age, and support their daily living activities based on their unique needs.
The Job
As a nursing profession in the Aged Care sector, you will be mainly responsible for Resident Dignity and Choice, Ongoing Assessment and Planning, Personal and Clinical Care, Support for Daily Living, Medication Management as well as WHS. You will ensure that all residents receive effective and resident-focused care and service delivery and safe and effective evidence-based care for residents by assessing, planning, implementing, delivering, and evaluating care in accordance with scope of practice, as well as coordinated health and allied services care planning.
The person
- Bilingual in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) & English is a MUST
- Must be available for at least 3 days per week
- Nursing degree or equivalent and current AHPRA registration holder (no conditions)
- Desirable qualifications: Advanced nursing qualification in gerontology, palliative care, and dementia and/or advanced care planning, CPR and First Aid certificate
- Previous experiences in Residential Aged Care/ACIF is highly regarded but not necessary
- Extensive clinical knowledge and abilities in medical conditions, palliative and end-of-life care, and dementia care, including handling problematic behaviour.
- Knowledge of and expertise in the Residential Aged Care sector with the ability to implement related legislation and regulations e.g. Aged Care Act and the Aged Care Quality Standards etc.
- Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply as long as you have the passion in the Aged Care sector and a caring heart to the aged
