Village Glen, one of the largest and most well-appointed retirement communities on the Mornington Peninsula, is seeking an RN to join the Quality & Compliance team.
The Quality & Compliance team supports the Village Glen Flexicare Homecare services and the Retirement Village business in Capel Sound.
The current team consists of a Quality & Compliance Manager & a Client & Resident Engagement/Education & Training Officer.
However, due to the recent expansion of our service, there is now a rare opportunity for an RN to join our team, in a permanent part-time role 30 hours/week.
This role offers a unique and thriving teamwork environment with flexible working hours across 4 days Monday to Friday ensuring that both businesses are supported. Normal working hours will be 8.30 – 4.30. The successful applicant will be required to work on site as determined by the Quality & Compliance Manager.

Requirements for the role,
- Current relevant worker screening check that satisfies the requirements of the Aged Care Act, guiding principles and policy of Village Glen and Driver’s License
- Clinical background is required, and Community experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills with demonstrated decision making skills. Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- High level of verbal and written communication skills
- Experienced in working with teams and collaborating with key stakeholders to achieve optimum outcomes
- Knowledge of and relevant experience in Quality activities and community care is desirable
- Expectation to actively participate in professional development in order to maintain currency of specialist knowledge and skills
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Sound computer skills.
- Provide excellent customer service and support.
- Adherence to Workplace safety guidelines.
- RN qualification with at least 5 years post registration experience.
General duties will include,
- The Quality Coordinator is required to work under the guidance of the Quality & Compliance Manager, collaborating with managers and employees to achieve the functions described below.
- The position is required to support teams to increase their capability, accountability and engagement in clinical process including strong service culture of clinical audit and follow up.
- Actively promote clinical involvement in best practice initiatives.
The Quality Coordinator will effectively coordinate the delivery of the following services:
- Collate data and format and analysis of the Retirement Living & Flexicare Quality reports, under the guidance of the Quality & Compliance Manager.
- Prepare relevant reports and materials for the Quality meetings under the guidance of the Quality & Compliance Manager
- Build key relationships with relevant Managers/staff to support clinical effectiveness and quality priorities in line with Village Glen’s Clinical Governance Framework
- Co-ordinate the audit process for Village Glen Flexicare staff and clients
- Assist with the review of the Australian Retirement Village Accreditation Scheme standards
- Assist with the formulation of relevant practice documents guiding processes and practices
- Oversee the VGRL & FC document register ensuring documents are reviewed as required liaising with appropriate personnel
- Support the Education & Training Officer with mandatory training tasks
- Support the Education & Training Officer with preparation for the FC Consumer Advisory Group meetings
- Complete any other Quality & Compliance tasks as directed by the Quality and Compliance Manager.
