The opportunityWe have an opportunity for a casual perioperative nurse who is also capable of undertaking all aspects of the Day Surgery (admissions, anaesthetics, recovery, discharges). If you are a Registered Nurse or Clinical Nurse Specialist and want to join the highly experienced and passionate clinical support team at our Whitehorse Road (Eastern) Day Surgery, then please read on.
Whitehorse Road Day Surgery is an accredited, purpose-built facility for ophthalmic surgery. Our facility has been designed to provide the highest standards of surgical and anaesthetic care, using the quality-assurance model based on The Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS).
Conveniently located in the heart of Box Hill, the surgery features state-of-the-art equipment and technology to support the latest surgical techniques, optimise patient outcomes and always ensure patient comfort. We operate Monday to Friday – no weekend work is involved.
A bit about you:You’ll be AHPRA registered and bring with you a minimum of one-year perioperative experience, preferably in ophthalmic (though not mandatory). You’ll have demonstrated knowledge of the Department of Health Guidelines, Standards and Regulations, OHS, Infection Control and their impact on delivery of care.
You are a passionate team player focused on person-centred care who thrives in a fast paced, dynamic team environment. You’ll have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a commitment to quality, best practice and workplace safety.
