As a Registered Nurse (RN)/Enrolled Nurse you will be providing high-quality care to our clients in aged care facilities/community health. You will be responsible for assessing clients' physical, emotional, and social needs while implementing and evaluating nursing care. You will be a key member of the care team, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of care is provided to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical, emotional, and social needs
- Work in consultation with other health professionals and members of health teams, and co-ordinate the care of clients
- Develop and implement individualized care plans (if/when required) that promote health and wellbeing
- Administer medications and monitor clients' response to treatment
- Manage chronic medical conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease, and respiratory illness
- Provide interventions, treatments and therapies such as medications, and monitor responses to treatment and care plan
- Promote health and assist in preventing ill health by participating in health education and other health promotion activities
- Provide support, answer questions and provide information to clients and families about treatment and care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all care activities
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to other staff members
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Full legal rights to work in Australia
- Diploma/Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Minimum of 3- 6 months experience working as an RN/EN (aged care experience preferable).
- A current First Aid/CPR certificate
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Demonstrated clinical competence and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of aged care standards and regulations
- Up-to-date vaccination records
- Police Check (within the last 6-12 months)
