The primary role for the Registered Nurse involves patient care, with an expectation that clinic protocols, environmental safety and appropriate infection control measures are adhered to. B. Braun Avitum creates strong teamwork in our clinics and encourages initiative. Staff are also offered an innovative education program aimed at standardising skills and a common competence level.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with no conditions or restrictions on registration which are a result of unsafe practice.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- An understanding of the application of professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with patients.
- Knowledge and understanding of risk management, safety and quality principles within the context of the role of the Registered Nurse Division 1.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and on-going education.
- Basic computer skills, including email, word processing and health information systems.
- Clear Criminal History record. Criminal History check not more than three months’ old.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of dialysis therapies
