Working as a Registered Nurse in the Renal Dialysis Unit based at Port Lincoln Hospital, you are responsible for providing evidenced based care to acute and chronic haemodialysis patients. You will be working with patients and their families where there are multiple complexities and diverse cultural backgrounds, recognising and responding to clinical deterioration or other incidents and escalating appropriately.
You will be expected to continue developing clinical skills and keeping up to date with professional standards of practice and quality management initiatives consistent with organisational policies and must have a demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice and experience in the haemodialysis of patients in a Renal unit or like.
The applicants must be required to be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse and/or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Experience in recognising and responding to clinical deterioration or other incidents and escalating appropriately essential.
This part time vacancy works 48 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked. In addition to the annual salary package, we also offer salary sacrifice benefits, employer superannuation contributions and leave loading.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements. COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement under the Public Health Act 2011 (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) to work in SA Health/health care setting.
