Allawah Lodge is a 33 bed residential aged care facility located on the corner of Stinson and Mirrool Streets, Coolamon NSW. Situated in the heart of the Coolamon health care precinct, Allawah Lodge is within walking distance to the main street and is set in beautiful landscaped gardens. Coolamon is a charming country town rich with beautiful heritage buildings, museums, pubs, local cheeses, natural attractions, gorgeously presented heritage streetscapes, boutique shopping and quaint and quirky cafes.
It is the aim of the staff, Committee and volunteers to ensure every resident may reside in a safe home-like environment, where their dignity and privacy is respected, whilst maintaining individual physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs with a minimum of assistance.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The function of the RN (Med) is to be one of an integrated team of carers providing support and care to the residents of Allawah Lodge. Designed to provide you with on the job experience as well as mentoring and support from highly skilled professionals, all while you study and work towards your formal qualification. Working collaboratively with Management, Chief RN, Team leader and care service employees you will aim to achieve effective outcomes for each resident. You will be responsible for providing safe and effective medication administration, along with safe and effective wound care management.
You will provide person centred care which reflects their assessed care needs/plan, in a way which respects their dignity of risk, choices and preferences. You will maintain knowledge and skills through a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development. You will be passionate about encouraging and supporting team member development and create an environment and culture where people can be the best that they can be every day.

1. Bachelor of Nursing - New graduates and graduating Nurses are encouraged to apply.
2. Current AHPRA Registration
3. Class C Drivers licence
4. Valid National Police Clearance
5. COVID-19 Vaccination certificate
6. Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
7. Strong communication and time management skills
