Registered Psychiatric Nurse - CRCU
Based in Gippsland, Latrobe Regional Health are looking for Registered Psychiatric Nurses to join our Community Residential Care Unit (CRCU) team on a fulltime or parttime, ongoing basis.
The Community Residential Care Unit (CRCU) consists of 14 independent residential units that have 24-hour support from qualified staff. The CRCU team assists people aged between 16 and 64 years, providing a client/family focused recovery service, working together towards improving your quality of life and developing skills towards maximum independence. The CRCU Care Team includes health care professionals from multiple disciplines who actively work with patients, family and/or carer and Case Manager’s to work with the consumer on a plan for recovery.
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, the Registered Psychiatric Nurse will play an important role in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care to mental health clients by demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively within the mental health frame work.

We are looking for candidates with:
- Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to mental health clients
- A commitment to appropriate inpatient based treatment for people with a psychiatric illness including recovery frameworks and the reduction of seclusion and restraint practices
- A commitment to ongoing professional training and development
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external services
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
