Who we are?
Origin Psychology is a trauma- informed psychology practice which uses an integrative approach to treat adult clients 18+ who present with a range of mental health concerns. We treat both every day well-adjusted people with mental health concerns but also work with people with complex presentations and co-morbidities and we have a keen appreciation for the fact that regardless of the presentation almost everyone has some form of untreated underlying trauma.
What we offer?

We are a steadily growing practice and are looking at growing our team by one member at this time so that they can be nurtured into the role. We provide a safe, calm and well-balanced work environment that is designed to help you to be the best therapist you can be to our dedicated and motivated client base.
What we ask?
- That you see 5 clients a day in blocks of time that suit you
- That your 6th session each day is blocked out for daily emergency clients/admin
- That you participate in active diary management and manage your own clients based on your treatment plan for them
- That you use measurement-based software to measure: assessment, treatment and outcomes phases of therapy and reassess and modify treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate appropriately on measurement-based care with referring GPs to ensure coordinated and holistic care which includes written/telephonic reporting
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards
- Participate in external clinical supervision, staff meetings, monthly supervision meetings and CPD to ensure quality of care
Who you are?
- Australian citizen or have permanent residency
- AHPRA registered clinical psychologist /psychologist
- Eligible to get a Medicare Provider Number
- Willingness to work with a range of mental health presentations including complex presentations
- Knowledge of evidenced-based treatment modalities and trauma-informed principles of care and treatment
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic and treatment planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to maintaining ethical standards, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity in all interactions
- Current Working with Vulnerable People’s Card
- Prepared to evidence ongoing CPD
- Current professional indemnity insurance in place
- Evidence a current national police check
