About us:
The Rockhampton Rehabilitation Unit has 16 in-patient beds, 15 day therapy time slots and clinic area for amputee service and post rehab follow up. The following case mixes are commonly seen in the unit: stroke, traumatic brain injury, orthopaedic, cardio-respiratory, renal, musculoskeletal, amputee, spinal injury, re-conditioning following medical or surgical illness.
About the role:
The Registrar/Principal House Officer assists Staff Specialists and Senior Medical Staff manage patients acute and urgent illness and injury.
* Participate in case conferences, family meetings, see referral patients in acute wards.
* If Residential transition care program is active, then you are required to perform:
* Once weekly offsite visit to review the patients.
* Complete admission and progress notes in chart.
* Write discharge summary and scripts when patients are being discharged.
About you:
To be successful in this role you must have:
* MBBS or equivalent to enable registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) at Level 3 supervision.
* If qualifications were obtained outside Australia please refer to the role description.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
* Sound knowledge and clinical skills and experience at PGY 4 level or above.

Total remuneration value of $146,469 p.a. (L4), $160,859 p.a. (L7), $169,083 p.a. (L9) is comprised of:
* A salary between $125,808 to $138,571 p.a. (L4 - L7)
* A salary between $125,808 to $145,865 p.a. (L4 - L9)
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
* 17.5% leave loading
