Form of workI-MED Radiology Network is pleased to be offering an opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the busy team in our Central Melbourne Clinics. You will primarily be working at St Vincents Private Hospital in East Melbourne butsome movements to other sites as required.
This is a permanent role, part time - 3/4 days a week between Monday - Friday. No weekend work!
Reporting to the Area Nurse Coordinator and working alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team you will provide high quality nursing support and recovery services to the clinic. Supernumerary training will be provided.
Key accountabilities include:
- Assist the Radiologist for interventional procedures, including gaining informed consent and medical history assessment, monitoring baseline observations and recovering patients post procedure.
- Interventional Procedures Include: Biopsies, Epidurals, Spinal injections, Lumbar Punctures, Drainages and Pain Management Injections.
- Working collaboratively with Radiologists, Nuclear Medicine Physicians, technical and administrative staff and managers
Key selection criteria:
- Full AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
- Proven acute nursing experience
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and autonomously within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills
Desirable but dot essential:
- Previous Experience in Radiology/Surgical/Procedural Nursing
