Regulatory Communications Approvals Consultant - Salary circa £45,000

We are looking for a Regulatory Communications Approvals Consultant to provide support to the UK General Insurance business. You will be involved in ensuring financial promotions, regulatory customer communications, contractual customer documentation and customer journeys, meet required Regulatory standards. If you have customer communications and financial services experience with a General Insurance background, we would love to hear from you!

A bit about the job:

Our team's responsibility is to ensure that our communications meet the requirement to be clear, fair, and not misleading.

You will check if appropriate information is provided to allow customers to make informed decisions at all stages of the customer journey and confirm that financial promotions meet the FCA financial promotion rules and guidance, including Consumer Duty requirements and compliance with other Regulators such as the ASA and ABI. You will also be able to recognise risks and be able to provide advisory support to Marketing colleagues, looking to work collaboratively within the wider business to achieve a satisfactory conclusion.

You will make sure that decisions are made in line with our internal guidance, regulations and within risk appetite to ensure good customer outcomes and reduce the chance of customer detriment and the risk of Aviva facing regulatory censure.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

  • Expert knowledge of the role of the FCA and the ASA and relevant regulations.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills at all levels, in particular communication and influencing.

  • Problem solving and analytical skills to identify issues, root cause and resolution.

  • Experience in the General Insurance market, Life protection and Healthcare markets are preferable, along with knowledge of the marketing and product governance frameworks.

  • Understanding of the Risk & Control environment, governance structures and committees

  • Salary of circa £45,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
