Our Federal government clients is seeking a talented and experienced Regulatory Design Adviser to join their team.
In this significant and multifaceted role, you will lead the complex re-design and development of the policy and regulatory framework for the Payment Times Reporting Scheme.
ABOUT THE JOB:

• Oversee and implement legislative changes, ensuring operational readiness of the Regulator for a smooth transition to the new scheme.
• Align amendments to existing regulatory frameworks.
• Provide expert advice on ICT requirements to align with legislative changes, including defining systems requirements for case management.
• Stress test legislative amendments to ensure operational efficacy and efficiency.
• Lead consultation processes with other Government departments and external stakeholders.
• Offer subject matter expertise for end-to-end design of the regulatory framework, covering legislation through to guidance materials and enforcement.
• Contribute to the development of workforce and training strategies.
• Build strategic relationships with other Commonwealth regulators.

THE SUCCESFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Proven experience in Regulatory Design and policy development.
• Strong understanding of legislative frameworks, preferably with experience in Australian Accounting Standards.
• Expertise in stress testing legislative amendments for operational efficiency.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to lead and contribute to consultation processes with various stakeholders.
• Experience in building and maintaining strategic relationships with regulatory bodies
