In this significant and multifaceted role, you will lead the complex re-design and development of the policy and regulatory framework for the Payment Times Reporting Scheme.
ABOUT THE JOB:
- Oversee and implement legislative changes, ensuring operational readiness of the Regulator for a smooth transition to the new scheme.
- Align amendments to existing regulatory frameworks.
- Provide expert advice on ICT requirements to align with legislative changes, including defining systems requirements for case management.
- Stress test legislative amendments to ensure operational efficacy and efficiency.
- Lead consultation processes with other Government departments and external stakeholders.
- Offer subject matter expertise for end-to-end design of the regulatory framework, covering legislation through to guidance materials and enforcement.
- Contribute to the development of workforce and training strategies.
- Build strategic relationships with other Commonwealth regulators.
- Proven experience in Regulatory Design and policy development.
- Strong understanding of legislative frameworks, preferably with experience in Australian Accounting Standards.
- Expertise in stress testing legislative amendments for operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to lead and contribute to consultation processes with various stakeholders.
- Experience in building and maintaining strategic relationships with regulatory bodies
